Dominican Baseball Mission Trip

We leave Atlanta this Saturday morning (6/20), for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and will remain there one week, returning to Atlanta the following Saturday (6/27). Coming with us on this trip are nineteen boys, ages 13 & 14 along with an additional twenty other adults (coaches or parents) and some siblings. During our stay, we will be traveling accross the island competing against several different Dominican baseball teams as we use the game of baseball as a platform to share the message of Jesus Christ to hundreds of people.

In addition to baseball, we will also be doing other ministry and humanitarian work as we visit orphanages and feed different villages. We feel that it will be a blessing for the people of the Dominican, but potentially a much bigger blessing for all of us who will be making this trip.

We have two photo journalism students that are coming with us who will document the entire trip for us and put it into a DVD format. We will have copies available for anyone interested. Additionally, they will update our activities and place photos and some brief description of each days events on this blog.

Please pray for God to open the eyes and hearts of the Dominican people who we come in contact with and that all of us who are taking this trip return safely, having a much deeper relationship with God.
